Thursday

I tried to send like a million pictures last night (oops too many I guess). The weather was cloudy but nice. Apparently not that cloudy as i got sun burned. I will send more today.

Friday

TJ did awesome. The SCT was 40 seconds and he did it clean in 42. He was running crazy and then he slipped in the weaves and body slammed himself into the 3rd weave pole. He then stopped and checked in with Jason and then they kept going. Not sure who the top 50% are yet. Maybe he can run tomorrow... who knows? Depends on the other dogs if they were clean or not.

Everyone was really happy with their dogs runs as per usual. Of course the errors made were by the handler for the most part. Kim's little Spring broke her stay on the Jumpers run causing her to have to play catch up in the first few obstacles. Bruce and Hoover were in the zone for their standard run. Then a previous competitor was asking the scoring of their run. This took longer then expected as the judge couldn't remember the run and had to ask someone else to help him out remember it. So this caused Bruce and Hoover to be a little distracted. Dusty and Bailey were running awesome in standard. Dusty changed her mind how to run the course. Moral of the story stick to the original plan. Darren was very happy with all of his runs with Cori and Quinn... no off courses just taking a few bars. Diane had a handling error in the Jumpers run but Rugby did exactly as he was told and she was proud of him for that. These words are straight from the competitors. It is very difficult to run from ring to ring to try and catch everyone's run. I will try better today.

Sunday

So yesterday was a very late night due to the supper, auction and keynote speaker Susan Garrett and awards. Today we are starting 30 min early so therefore up early. Sorry I didn't send the results last night but we were tired!!!!

Lifetime Achievement awards were handed out first. Wow there were lots of dogs that received a plaque! Our very own Deb Rhodes and Molly received theirs. They actually achieved it if you remember at the SAA trial in June.

Sunday

Another year complete.

The weather held up for the entire event. Most mornings would start out cool and cloudy but by the afternoon the sun came out and it was hot hot hot. A little mist during the morning runs was kind of a nice thing. Sunday after the event was complete and everyone was gathered in the arena for the awards there was a huge down pour. Thankfully we were indoors.

The organizing committee did a fantastic job which will be hard to beat next year. Everything ran very smoothly and was on time. Most days were completed early. The Sat "kitchen party" was absolutely fantastic. From the decor, live music, live auction, entertainment (Dick and Darren at Jason's expense) and of course the lobster. Yum!

The volunteers were out of this world. Just very helpful and enthusiastic. I myself volunteered on the Thursday of the warm up games and I must say they were the best nationals I have volunteered at to date.

Overall the Saskatchewan team were amazing supporting each other and helping out where needed. On Friday evening tables needed to be set up and chairs. Team Sask jumps in there and helps out. A committee member asked where all the people were from and Saskatchewan came up for most of the volunteers. She had tears in her eyes because of the help. Team Saskatchewan rocks!!!

Thanks for another great year of friendship, team work and support.
